Making All A's on your Report Card is no easy task, but these students from Mineral Springs Elementary School did just that! Congratulations certainly go to 3rd Grader Jordan McCormick, Leslie Reyes, Ava Thompson, Joaquain Jackson, Symone Terry, Aiden Locklear, Garrett Mabe and Mia Green. From the Fourth Grade Caroline Hunsucker, Natalie Meacham, Kaleigh Cloninger, Gracie Mabe, Zonia Contrerea Gonzalez and Kaemon Gomez also made All A's, while 5th Grades Kadia Rucker, Elijah McLean, Diezel Green, Isis McDonald, Ethan Locklear, Giovani Gomez, Bryan Morales, Haylee Johnson, Guadalupe Juarez, Sylvester Harding, Yuliana Gonzalez, Hayden Lee and Akeya Harrison made no grade below a 90.

 

Brianna Barnum and Ashlyn Bouldi too made All A's but are not pictured.

Five Richmond Senior High Schoolers attended the North Carolina Technology Student Associations’s State Conference in Greensboro from April 14th-16th, with each student ultimately placing first in their competitive event. 

     Freddie Alexander placed 1st in the Dragster Design, while the team of Stephen Collins, Logan Smith, Patrick Martin and Adrien Khamchanh took top honors in the Scientific Visualization category. 

     They will represent RSHS this June at the TSA National Conference in Nashville, TN. 

     Made up of more than 200,000 middle and high school students, the Technology Student Association is geared to those who aspire to be future engineers, scientists and technologists. 

     Ty Bostick, Randall Mace and Fred Morris are the TSA chapter advisors for the Raiders. 


West Rockingham recently inducted ten students into their National Jr. Beta Club.  

     Mr. Dennis Quick, Richmond County Schools’ Executive Director of Auxiliary Services, was the speaker.  

     As part of the ceremony, students lit five candles, each representing a necessary characteristic for a Beta Club member.  Additionally, they recited the Beta Club pledge and were awarded their membership card, a certificate and a pin. 

    A small reception was held after the ceremony for students and their families.

Our Rockingham Middle Schoolers are pretty much amazing! Sixth Grader Jenna McRae has been hospitalized with an eye infection for the past week.  But her classmates didn’t want her to miss out on the Preppy Possum painting fun!  So, they brought supplies and showed her the techniques they learned to make their own flamingos.  


A special shout-out goes to our RCS Board of Education! It's clear Rockingham Middle School loves their new sign!

East Rockingham Elementary School recently inducted twelve 4th Graders into the National Junior Beta Club! On Wednesday, April 6th, Panther parents, students and faculty gathered together for this momentous occasion. They were addressed by 8th Grader James Brooks, a East Rockingham alum who currently serves as Rohanen Middle School’s Beta Club Vice President.
