Wade Meachum handing off a pigeon to Ellerbe student

On Thursday, April 12, students at Ellerbe Middle School had the opportunity to attend multiple Wildcat Career Day sessions where they listened and interacted with presenters.

Former EMS Wildcat, Sen. Tom McInnis, started the morning off with a motivational speech, encouraging each student to choose a career that they will enjoy. Sudents were then placed in their groups, and presenters shared information about their chosen passion and the pathway that lead each of them to their success.

A number of presenters were in attendance, ranging from architecture to lineman, pediatrician to psychotherapist, veterinarian to dog trainer, and nurse to former Super Bowl champion. Each of these presentations positively impact our students by providing various aspects of these careers.

Richmond County Schools would like to send special thanks to Patrick Bryant, Wade Meachum, Dennis Guinn, Amy Harmon, Dr. Tommy Jarrell, Steve Reams, Alanna Young, Donald Dees, Chris Turner, Perry Williams, Wesley Maynor, Amy Keller and Buffy Keller McKenzie, Jason Lutz, Dr. Jeff Byrd, Jamie Sutherland, Jonadab Franco, Wanda Steele, Kamisha Harrison, Steve Lear, Tina Sugg, Vagas Jackson, and Dr. Will Cooley.
