This school year, nearly 800 elementary students received a new pair of shoes through the Christmas Shoes Project, an annual tradition in Richmond County Schools. Organized by First Presbyterian Church in Rockingham, the program collects donations throughout the year to make sure students in need can step into the holidays with a brand new pair of shoes. Students visit The Shoe Department to choose their favorite pair, turning a simple need into a special experience.
