About Us

Richmond County Schools (RCS) includes 7 elementary schools, 4 middle schools, and 4 secondary schools, serving approximately 6,500 students. As the county's largest employer, RCS proudly employs more than 1,100 staff members, including 452 dedicated teachers. 

At Richmond County Schools, we believe in innovative learning opportunities. In addition to key subject areas, students can choose from a wide range of academic programs tailored to meet their unique needs and aspirations. These programs include courses in the arts, career and technical education, advanced placement classes, and early college and dual-enrollment courses with Richmond Community College.
