Community Eligibility Program

All Richmond County Students will participate in the Community Eligibility Program for the 2023/2024 School Year

Richmond County Schools is pleased to announce the district continues to participate county wide in the program that is intended to encourage students to enjoy wholesome, nutritious meals at school while eliminating paperwork and undue burdens for parents.  The program, called the Community Eligibility Provision or CEP, is funded by the US Department of Agriculture as a means of ensuring students get the food they need to do their best at school. Students show that when students are hungry, they often are distracted in the classroom, they are absent from school more often and score lower on standardized test. This new Federally-funded program will allow all students attending Richmond County Schools to receive breakfast and lunch at school at no cost to the student or their household and no school meals application is required. As a result students will be more well-nourished and prepared to learn and parents will have one less form to complete.

Disclaimer for Menus

We look forward to providing all students appealing, nutritious meals for breakfast and lunch at no charge.  School meals fuel students for learning throughout the day.

Shortages of food and supplies along with significant staffing shortages are occurring nationwide. NC school Nutrition Programs are responding by serving alternative food items or using last minute meal replacements. Due to this, menus may be subject to change without notice.

We appreciate your patience and understanding.
