Communicating About Delays & Closings
In the event of Inclement Weather, an Alert-Now Phone Message will be the first line of communication for reaching students, parents and employees.
If you choose to answer the phone, please speak clearly into
the speaker, so that the message does not cut off. You may also elect
for your voicemail to pick the message up.
The message from the district leadership to students, parents and employees, will be sent no later than 6 a.m. Bus drivers will receive a call with directions no later than 5 a.m. The same information will be available on the homepage of our district and school websites.

In the event schools will be closed more than one day, an announcement will also be submitted to the Richmond County Daily Journal.
Making Up Snow Days
In accordance with the Richmond County Board of
Education Policy, snow make-up days fall on the Saturday immediately
following the snow day, weather permitting. If weather does not permit,
the school system will schedule the make-up day for another Saturday of a
shortened school week. Information will be communicated to students,
parents and employees with the tools listed above.
Students not attending school on these days will be
counted absent, There will be no special considerations. Check our
website for the latest weather related information. Use your best
judgment when planning to transport students to school. We encourage all
to stay safe and warm during the winter season.
